Mr. Bayham has served as the Director of Pharmacy and Members Services at several Managed Care Organizations across the U.S. And Puerto Rico. There his departments are vital components in the effort to provide quality health care, improve member and provider satisfaction, and control rising health care costs. He has developed policies and procedures necessary to meet all governmental agencies regulations and accrediting bodies standards. Mr. Bayham has spearheaded Part D applications and was in charge of Part D operations for Medicare Advantage Health Plans in both the United States and Puerto Rico. His departments have been ranked higher in satisfaction than the regional and national averages by the Medicare Consumer Assessment of Health Plan Survey (CAHPS) and consistently being ranked in the 90th percentile of all Medicare Advantage Health Plans nationwide. Mr. Bayham completed the requirements for his B.S. in Pharmacy from Xavier University College of Pharmacy in December 1975 and became a registered pharmacist in the State of Louisiana in January 1976. He earned his Masters of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix in April 2001 with a perfect 4.0 GPA and scoring in the top 1% of the country in the Post-Curriculum Comprehensive Cognitive Assessment Exam. At a national meeting in San Diego, California in 1999, MedImpact Healthcare Systems recognized Mr. Bayham as the managed care pharmacy “Manager of the Year.” In 2001, The Louisiana State Board of Pharmacy honored him with a Silver Certificate recognizing his twenty-five years of service to the citizens of Louisiana in the profession of pharmacy. In 2005, the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacists recognized Alan Bayham as a “Visionary” on the first AMCP Roll of Honor. Mr. Bayham was inducted into the “Society of Industry Leaders” in 2006. Mr. Bayham has served on many national advisory boards and has lectured nationally. He has been a preceptor for Xavier University College of Pharmacy in various venues of the practice of pharmacy, including the only Managed Care Pharmacy Preceptorship in the state of Louisiana. He has been invited to give countless Lectures, Webinars, and Workshops throughout the country on various pharmacy subjects including Managed Care, Formulary Management (including such therapeutic classes as Antihypertensives and agents used to treat Hyperlipidemia), New Drugs, Appropriate Prescribing in the Elderly, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, e-Prescribing, and many other topics. In addition Alan has been quoted in various Trade Publications and has helped to write several White Papers. He has served as an Advisor, Consultant, and Trainer for various Fortune 500 Companies, Health Plans, and various other Organizations.
